Author Benefits

Submitting your paper

Each journal has slightly different format requirements depending on readership, space, style and so on. Please be sure to read your chosen journal’s guidelines as each journal will have its own specific requirements.

Articles must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The text of articles reporting original research is usually divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The manuscripts which are scanned by the editorial board are sent to three referees for evaluation in terms of form and content. The manuscripts that are considered, at least by two referees, issuable are put in line for publication.

MWP is accepted only in English. Authors may want to have their manuscripts edited professionally before submission to improve the clarity. We wish to avoid these papers being rejected because of the written English, particularly if the author does not have English as a first language. MWP Editing Services provide you with expert help to ensure your manuscript is ready for submission.

Rapid publication

MWP journals use a fast efficient online submission system, Online Journal System (OJS), which speeds up the submission and reviewing process. All our manuscripts are dealt with through our efficient and easy to use Online Journal System (OJS). The status of submitted manuscripts can also be tracked at this portal. The system may include evaluating submissions and providing feedback to submitters, accepting or rejecting submissions or requesting submitters to make a re-submission.

Reviewing manuscripts

In academic publishing, the goal of peer review is to assess the quality of articles submitted for publication in a scholarly journal. Sometimes the phrases “refereed journals” or “scholarly journals” are used to describe the same type of journals. The author of the article must submit it to the journal editor who forwards the article to experts in the field.

Articles accepted for publication through a peer review process meet the discipline's expected standards of expertise. Articles are written by experts and are reviewed by several other experts in the field before the article is published in the journal in order to insure the article’s quality. They evaluate the quality of the scholarship, reliability of findings, relevance to the field, appropriateness for the journal, etc.

Copyright

After a paper is accepted for publication, the MWP will send out a Copyright Transfer Agreement (PDF) to all authors of the paper. Some journals do not require transfer of copyright and rely on such vehicles as Creative Commons licenses. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that signatures of all authors are submitted to the MWP; manuscripts will not be published if signatures of all authors are not received. Alterations to and substitutions for the Copyright Transfer Agreement are not acceptable. This agreement deals with the transfer or license of the copyright to MWP and authors retain significant rights to use and share their own published articles.

Completed copies of the Copyright Transfer Agreement may be submitted to the MWP. Please read the terms of this agreement, and email a scanned copy of the signed original to the MacroWorld's Rights Department (copyright@macroworldpub.com).

Open Access options

MWP offers peer-reviewed open access options to meet the needs of authors and maximize article visibility. Submission of an article is free, but if it is accepted for publication, the authors are asked to pay a fee to have their article made open access immediately upon publication. The author pays a fee to a conventional publisher to make a particular article openly accessible when it would otherwise be available only to subscribers.

Article Discovery and Metrics

MWP journal articles feature article discovery tools and metrics Article-Level Metrics (ALMs). Article-level metrics, on the other hand, may demonstrate the impact of an individual article. Article-level metrics are designed to help authors assess this by providing a better understanding of the reach of an article or published research, and the attention it is receiving online. Stats helps you understand in greater detail and with greater speed how your publications are being read, shared and cited.
MWP now provides access to the number of downloads an article has received (abstract, full-text HTML, and PDF), as well as data provided by Altmetric and Crossref.
